By the end of this week I will be a grandfather! Praise God! This week’s verse speaks of God’s miracle of creation and birth.
(Sorry about last week, forgot to post.)
This Week’s Verse for the week of March 16
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:13-14
This Week’s Passage
This is one of my favorite chapters of Scripture. I remember memorizing it when I was about 10 years old. It has encouraged and challenged me ever since. This passage is a little shorter than the extended ones we have had for January and February so if you simply memorize one verse a day you will have the whole passage memorized in less than a week.
Psalm 1 The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish

Week of March 2
March came in like a lion with blustery winds here in Kauai. This week’s verse compares the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation to the wind. May the wind of the Holy Spirit blow upon you as you continue to hide God’s word in your heart.
This Week’s Verse for the week of March 27
Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. John 3:7-8
